Limited Warranty Terms – Crown Electric Mobility

This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is provided by Crown Electric Mobility (“Crown”, “Company”, “we”, “us”) and applies exclusively to Crown electric motorcycles, scooters, and related electric mobility products (“Vehicle” or “Product”) supplied to the end customer.

This Warranty sets out the terms under which specific components of the Product are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use conditions.

1. Warranty Coverage Period

The Warranty coverage begins from the date of delivery of the Product to the original purchaser (“Customer”).

Subject to the terms stated herein, the standard warranty durations are as follows:

  • Lithium LFP Battery: 48 Months Limited Warranty
  • Electric Motor: 36 Months Limited Warranty
  • Controller, Display, Wiring Harness & Other Electrical/Body Components: 12 Months Limited Warranty (unless otherwise specified for a specific model or agreement)
  • Body parts and consumable items are not covered under warranty.

Warranty coverage will automatically end upon the expiry of the applicable warranty period or upon transfer/sale of the Product to another owner, whichever occurs first.

2. Eligibility of Warranty

This Warranty is strictly limited to the original purchaser of the Product and is non-transferable under any circumstances.

To qualify for Warranty service, the Customer must have purchased the Product through authorized Crown Electric Mobility channels and must be able to present valid proof of purchase, warranty card, or official invoice.

3. Covered Components

This Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects in the following major components under normal usage:

3.1 Battery System (Lithium LFP)

  • Internal cell failure
  • Manufacturing defects in Battery Management System (BMS)
  • Abnormal capacity drop under standard usage conditions

3.2 Electric Motor

  • Coil failure or burning due to manufacturing fault
  • Magnet displacement or demagnetization under normal use
  • Shaft deformation not caused by impact or misuse
  • Bearing or gear failure due to production defect

3.3 Electrical System

  • Motor controller
  • Display unit
  • Throttle assembly
  • Wiring harness
  • Switch assemblies
  • Lighting system (front/rear indicators)

3.4 Structural & Mechanical Parts

  • Frame (manufacturing weld or structural defect)
  • Fork assembly
  • Handlebar system
  • Brake assembly (manufacturing defects only)
  • Suspension components (factory-related faults)

6. Battery Warranty Terms

Scope of Warranty:

The battery is covered under a 48-month limited warranty, which applies strictly to repair-based servicing only. Replacement shall not be provided under normal warranty conditions. During the warranty period, repair labour will be free of cost, while any required spare parts will be chargeable as per company pricing policy.

Eligibility & Claim Conditions:

Warranty claims shall only be accepted when the following requirements are fulfilled:

  • Valid invoice, warranty card, failure evidence (video/report), and battery serial number are available
  • Claim is initiated within the applicable warranty period
  • No signs of tampering, opening, or modification of the battery pack or BMS
  • Product is used strictly within approved operating conditions and intended application

Covered Manufacturing Defects:

Repair support will be provided for verified manufacturing issues, including significant capacity degradation beyond acceptable limits (as per standard testing), BMS malfunction, cell imbalance due to production fault, charging or discharging failure, internal short circuits, connector or terminal faults, and other factory-related internal defects.

Inspection & Disputed Conditions:

Cases involving water ingress, overheating, or thermal failure shall require joint technical inspection and mutual assessment. If confirmed as a manufacturing defect under approved protection standards, necessary repair or corrective action will be provided free of labour charges in accordance with warranty terms.

Exclusions & Chargeable Repairs:

Warranty shall not cover damage caused by physical impact, use of unauthorized chargers, deep discharge due to misuse or negligence, self-repair attempts, missing or altered warranty documents, use of non-approved accessories or systems, or damage resulting from external factors including natural disasters. In such cases, all repair costs will be borne by the customer. Spare parts will be billed separately as per the official price list, while service charges will be applied according to company policy.

5. Motor Warranty Policy

The motor warranty shall be strictly limited to repair services only, and no replacement shall be offered under any circumstances, as detailed below:

Cases where warranty shall not be applicable:

  • Absence of invoice, warranty card, failure video, or motor serial number
  • Exceeding 6 months from the date of purchase
  • Sample units or speed-unlocked motors

Warranty Coverage:

During the warranty period of 36 months, free repair service shall be provided for manufacturing-related defects. However, only spare parts (if required) shall be chargeable as per company price list, while labour/repair service shall remain free of cost. Covered issues include performance failure, non-operational phases, coil burn, demagnetization, detachment of magnetic material, shaft deformation, breakage, gear failure, bearing damage, and other internal manufacturing faults.

Disputed Cases:

Water ingress into the motor shall be subject to joint inspection and technical verification by both parties. In cases where the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing defect within IPX5 protection standards, replacement shall be provided free of charge.

Out-of-Warranty & Chargeable Services:

Damage caused by external impact, motor wire cut, water leakage due to misuse, self-repair or unauthorized disassembly, missing or altered warranty documents, use of non-authorized spare parts, issues arising from non-company components, and damages due to natural calamities shall not be covered under warranty. All repair expenses shall be borne by the customer. Spare parts shall be charged as per the official price list, and labour charges shall apply as per company policy.

6. What Is Not Covered Under Warranty

This Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Normal wear and tear items (including brake pads, tyres, tubes, grips, chains, cables, and bulbs)
  • Damage caused by accidents, collisions, or external impact
  • Water ingress due to improper handling or submersion beyond design limits
  • Improper installation, unauthorized modification, or alteration of wiring or structure
  • Use of non-original or incompatible parts and accessories
  • Commercial misuse including rental, delivery fleets, or shared mobility unless specifically agreed in writing
  • Damage caused by fire, flood, natural disasters, or external force majeure events
  • Failure resulting from neglect, improper maintenance, or operator error

Any product showing evidence of tampering, disassembly, or alteration without authorization will be excluded from Warranty coverage.

8. Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a Warranty claim, the Customer must:

  1. Contact Crown Electric Mobility support team through official communication channels
  2. Provide product details, serial number, proof of purchase, and clear photo/video evidence of the issue
  3. Allow technical evaluation by Crown's support or service team
  4. Follow instructions provided for inspection, repair, or replacement

No replacement or repair will be processed without prior technical verification.

9. Replacement Policy

  • Replaced components do not restart the original warranty period
  • Replacement parts will be covered only for the remaining duration of the original Warranty
  • Any paid replacement parts may carry a separate limited warranty starting from installation date

10. Limitation of Liability

Crown Electric Mobility's responsibility under this Warranty is strictly limited to repair or replacement of defective covered components.

Under no circumstances shall Crown be liable for:

  • Loss of income or business
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Accident-related losses or injuries
  • Costs arising from vehicle downtime or usage interruption

Maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase value of the Product.

11. Final Authority

Crown Electric Mobility reserves the sole right to determine whether a defect qualifies under this Warranty based on inspection, diagnostics, and technical evaluation.

All decisions made by the Company regarding Warranty claims shall be considered final.

12. General Terms

  • This Warranty applies only to Products used for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed
  • Any unauthorized repair or modification will void the Warranty immediately
  • Crown reserves the right to update or modify Warranty terms without prior notice
